Politically liberal (have often been a delegate to DFL endorsing conventions but hesitate to identify myself as DFL because of frequent disillusionment with some of the actions... or non-actions... of the DFL party). Religiously liberal as well, as a member of the United Church Of Christ (UCC) (specifically, Lyndale United Church Of Christ in Minneapolis... http://www.lyndaleucc.org/). And yet I somehow manage to count conservatives among my close friends, as well as people of all religious stripes from conservative evangelists to full fledged atheists (and other faiths as well, including Jews and Muslims). Most significant thing of import here is that I've been a near-lifelong movie fanatic. To such an extent that... well, I've only flown two times in my life. All those possibities, only two times flying, I should have gone two different places, right? Went to Hollywood, both times, took the Universal Studios tour both times. Shows you where my mind is at. And, oh yeah... I was one of several fanatical Twin Cities moviegoers profiled (complete with photo) in a 2002 St. Paul Pioneer Press article called "Movie Addicts".  Also, I'm probably way too old at 59 to be a movie reviewer, but I've never lived my life prior to this on the basis of what anyone else thought, so why start now? Also, I'm virtually never without at least TWO books on me, the one I'm currently reading and my "back-up" book in case I finish the first one. A day without books is like a day without sunshine.
